本剧是继2001年开拍的电视剧《神医喜来乐》（2003年播出）成就经典的十年之后，原班主创再续前缘的姊妹篇，由周振天担纲编剧、李保田领衔主演、柏杉升任导演。全剧延续前部故事和风格，情节更加跌宕起伏、角色形象更加丰满鲜活，并有全新人物登场。作品讲述了庚子年间，因得罪权贵被发配东北的神医喜来乐一家又被卷入时代的漩涡：喜来乐的死对头向洋人举荐其当军医；国难当头，宫廷内斗却依旧未曾停息…… 展开全部
