According to Guy Maddin, Tscherkassky has created two movies by appropriating footage from Sidney J. Furie's 1982 horror film, The Entity, which tells the story of a woman who is repeatedly assaulted and raped by either supernatural spirits or her own deeply suppressed traumas. Tscherkassky's films explode with a cacophony of Barbara Hershey's faces, fragmenting Steve Burum's initial cinematography into a mosaic of terrified eyes, quivering hands, and explosive acts of self-defense.
